The opening of Queen Creek Market Place (Rittenhouse/Ellsworth) is just around the corner. Project managers from Vestar are estimating that anchors could start opening as soon as March 9th. So who is coming to the market place?

There is a lot going on in the general plan for Queen Creek.

Open Houses: Jan 23rd, Feb 27th and Mar 26th

Review by Planning and Zoning in April. Review by Town Council in May. Election to adopt the plan September 9th.

There are some new things on their way to Queen Creek this year…..

• The new Queen Creek Library at Ellsworth and Ocotillo (Fall 2008)
• Horseshoe Park [Equestrian Center] (Winter 2008)
• Queen Creek Meetings Publicly Broadcast (TBD)
• Queen Creek will take over the water system
• Queen Creek will have its own fire department (Winter 2008)
• Primary Elections (March 2008)
• General Elections (May 2008)

The town has put up a new website www.queencreek.org providing up to date calendar and meeting notices, news, photos, search capabilities, job postings and online payments. A nice additional to resources for residents in theqc.

The Queen Creek general plan has many radical adjustments being proposed for adoption. The town will be having an open house on January 23rd to present updates and discuss.

The meeting is at 6pm at Town Hall, 22350 South Ellsworth Road. There are additional meetings being scheduled for February 29th and March 26th. The plan will go to planning and zoning in April.
